This policy explains what data GlobePlanner collects, why, and your rights. GlobePlanner is a travel-planning service published by Victor Gaya as an individual.
Data we collect
- Account: your email, display name and avatar (managed via Supabase Auth).
- Trips: the itineraries you generate and save, plus your AI copilot chat history.
- Preferences: language, currency and trip preferences, stored locally in your browser.
- Analytics: usage statistics via Google Analytics, only if you consent (see Cookies).
Depending on the features used: posts and comments, shared trips, budgets and imported bookings, files and photos, support messages and technical connection data. Location and notifications require the relevant device permissions. Review a trip before sharing it and avoid sending sensitive data to AI.
How we use your data
To provide and improve the service: generate customized itineraries, save your trips, apply navigation preferences, and measure usage with your consent. We never sell your data.
Cookies & tracking
Strictly-necessary cookies (always on): Supabase authentication session and locally-stored language/currency preferences — required for the app's technical operation.
Optional tracking: Google Analytics and affiliate scripts (Travelpayouts, GetYourGuide) load on our website after your consent. Partner websites opened through a link apply their own cookie policies. You can accept or decline via our banner, and reset your choices at any time by clearing your browser data.
Third-party services
Key providers include Cloudflare (hosting), Supabase (authentication, database and files), Google Gemini (itineraries and AI conversations), OpenAI (moderation), Google Maps and Apple MapKit (maps), Google Places and Unsplash (places and photos), and Open-Meteo and OpenWeather (weather). Data needed for the feature you use may be sent to them, including your prompts and trip context to AI services. Email uses transactional sending services and iCloud for support. Booking links may use Travelpayouts, GetYourGuide, CJ Affiliate or Awin. Processing may involve countries other than your country of residence; see these providers' policies for their terms and safeguards.

Your rights (GDPR)
Under applicable data protection law, including GDPR where it applies, you have the right to access, correct, port, or delete your personal data. You can withdraw your cookie consent at any time. Account deletion is available in Settings. It removes your account and associated database records. Copies shared with other users, logs and backups may remain according to their retention cycle. Contact us for additional requests, including uploaded files.
Data retention
Your trips and profile data are kept as long as your user account remains active. Local preferences remain stored in your browser until you clear them.
